Ok so I am starting a tattoo apprenticeship and was told that I will have to buy my own machines, which ones would be the best ones to buy without being too expensive?
Thanks :)

your mentor will be the one help you with this. don’t star out on the wrong foot buy going behind his back and getting machines before you are ready.
Ehm the tattooist who’s gonna be your teacher and "master" through your apprenticeship should definitely be one of the people to help you find the right machine for you…
This, along with a hundred other questions, will be answered by your mentor. There are different machines for different styles and hopefully your mentor will be knowledgeable enough to know the difference. Tattoo machines can get expensive, but they are an investment in your trade and can not be short changed. Most quality suppliers will only ship to actual tattoo shops so you will have to order through your mentor anyway. Your mentor or other artists in the shop might even have some extra machines that they would be willing to part with… Thats how I got my first two machines.
Hi Gina!
Congratulations on your new apprenticeship!
As they said, your mentor should be able to answer ALL the questions you have about going into this industry.
For your question, you’re a starter so i would recommend you go to amazon.com and search for tattoo kits. And finally get one with at least 4 tattoo guns. They sell complete sets and you should find ALL the items you need to get started (i.e. gun, inks, practise skins etc)
Hope that helped!
