If I got a unique and interesting tattoo on my lower back, would it still be thought of as a “tramp stamp”?
I’ve got a really cool idea for a tattoo… as far as I know, its pretty unique and its meaningful to me. If I get it on my lower back, will it be automatically be classified in the “tasteless” category, as its my first tattoo? Basically, I don’t want anyone to think at first glance that I got drunk, picked one off the wall, and had my man of the moment pay for it to gain my favor for the night.
If this is the case, do you have any suggestions for a better place? Due to the nature of the design, I wish to put it on a line of (bodily) symmetry. I like the idea of upper back, but since I am not sure where my life will take me, I’d like it to be easy to hide.
I had a similar problem. I wanted a tattoo that I could easily hide, so I considered the lower back–tramp stamp–area. Then I got to thinking, that is so popular to do, why not mix it up a bit? So instead, I have my tattoo on my lower back on the right hand side, 3 inches below my bra-line. Easily covered, and interestingly placed.
