Tattoo Removing Nuns Are Pork?

When Fox News called the omnibus spending bill currently before the US Congress “the President’s 0 billion omnibus spending bill,” I didn’t think it was quite fair nor did I think it was fair the way Fox News presented one of the earmarks in that bill as I explain in this video. The Fox News clip in this video comes from “Studio B With Shepard Smith” (with Gregg Jarrett substituting for Shepard Smith) broadcast on March 4, 2009. The two images I fairly used from the Providence Tattoo Removal Program website are available at www.providence.org And at www.providence.org And, finally, as always, you can find DOZENS and DOZENS more examples of Fox News bias on my Fox News bias playlist on YouTube at www.youtube.com

September 11 attacks were an inside job,Obama is a puppet and is working for the same exact thing Bush and all the others presidents were working for, dont ever take vaccines anyone, dont let your children go to public schools, dont watch the news

No the tatoo removal is not tha bad of an idea. However most of the stuff like the tiger stadium is just stupid.

  3. LiberalViewer says:

abates17: “The issue isnt whether or not the tattoo-removal program is a worthwhile use of federal dollars; the issue is that it should not be tacked on to a must-pass economic stimulus package.”

No, the stimulus bill passed before I made this video. This was part of the omnibus spending bill left over from last year’s session. So, it is wasn’t part of an “economic stimulus package,” it was spending in a spending bill.

I hope that clears up your misunderstanding and

    thx 4 commenting :-)

    Mississippi and Louisiana huh?
could that be because of Katrina, Rita, Wilma?
the destruction here was extensive, not only to residential homes, but to city, county, state, and federal buildings, as well as infrastructure.

  5. spock8585 says:

The federal government has also given us billions of dollars and Bobby Jindal is passing out corporate welfare like crazy.
85 million for the new orleans saints, 50 million for a chicken plant and he is also passing out big stimulus checks for photo ops, you know the same stimulus he said he was against.
He is giving state money to out of state business so they will now have a edge on competing with companies who have been in the state for years.

  6. ricezman says:

If it is not pointed out, then tatoo removal could be another stupid idea

  7. weseyedwalk says:

Obama is messing things up so bad, no way America will elect him again, guarantee. Americans were deceived and continue to be deceived today. In my opinion he is far worse than Bush. Bush did not talk about the huge deficit he inherited from Clinton

  8. SgtSanchez says:

That’s because he inherited a surplus… I’d go off on Bush, and how he was worse than Obama, but I am REALLY sick of hearing the same fact-free arguments over and over. When you reply (and I know you will), make sure to have fun and BE SAFE. Think before you speak.

  9. yellowkrux says:

Clinton reduced the deficit drastically, are you retarded you don’t complain that someone helped the situation, bush couldn’t complain about Clinton leaving w/ a reduced deficit whilst Obama has to deal with the deficit bush increased drastically.

  11. ltjohnb says:

If you say this was not Obama’s bill, you are lying. He supported the bill, lobbied for its passage, and criticized those who opposed it. You can not deny any of that. He didn’t write it, but he supported it 100%, this HIS BILL.
As for the tattoo removal: If a convict had the time and money to get a tattoo put on, he can take charge of getting it off. Fox news gave enough info. “tattoo removal” is not a gov responsibility, and its unfair to make taxpayers fund thug clean-up. Let the nuns raise $

  12. 0mni42 says:

    @ltjohnb
The fact that he didn’t write it is what makes it not his bill. It’s certainly possible to blame him for it if it goes wrong or something, but since he didn’t write it, not all the blame can go to him (just most of it :P)

  13. 19madmod6960 says:

That just only supports the catholic church our taxpayers spend on other than having them win the lottery & gloating in our faces.

  14. MultiUniv3rsal says:

No money for god. His kook followers shill up enough cash.

  15. conservativesaiyan says:

I have tattoos and does that make me one of them? You decide.

Answer: Yes it is a waste of taxpayer money.

Why should we help pay for another persons misfortunes? Or ordeals? While I appreciate is run by a Catholic(I’m one), it is in my opinion unconstitutional to provide our own money for the forsaken of another. Let em go private and all churches pretty much are.

  16. frankiegmh says:

I don’t think the question is if the program is good one the question is if the government should be using Federal tax dollars to pay for it. I am sure that it is a good program but I don’t think it is right to force people to give to charity by giving tax dollars to these types of organizations.

  17. placidair says:

If removing gang-related tattoos will help keep people out of prison (a very costly thing in itself), then yes, it’s a good use of funds.

And no, as usual FOX did not give anything resembling information. All it did was campaign.

  18. emikochan13 says:

@frankiegmh I think if it can help criminals turn their lives around, it makes people safer, and in a way, isn’t that what we’re spending our money on already? (police for example, the end result hopefully being safer streets, less in prisons = less federal money too)

Prevention is better than a cure, and an early cure is better than a late one :)

  19. frankiegmh says:

I agree prevention is the goal but this not about prevention these are people who have already been involved in gangs. I think its a good program and a worth wild charity but my only issue is when Federal Tax Dollars are used for it. I also agree with the person posting the video that FOX really does not explain the program well but when it comes to cable news channels I think it is not realy fair to single out FOX when anyone looking at it objectively would say most news organizations all do it

  20. booley says:

I would think that i f you want to change your life for the better and get away from crime, NOT having a huge swatiska tattooed on your face would be a plus.

  22. Bawbster1 says:

Slowly, people ARE starting to realize what Fox and other media outlets are all about… It’s time for the News to be News again. 3 part solution: 1. Every channel must provide a 1 hour News program WITHOUT COMMERCIALS. 2. News programs should not be rated by any Ratings system. 3. All News Channels live by the same rules, but are “Pay TV” for revenues as opposed to advertising.
