My first tattoo?? Am I normal?
So, I think I’m doing everything right. I’ve thought seriously about the artwork, and have a design that I like, and that has meaning for me. I have an appointment on Thursday to consult with the artist. The artist is unquestionably the best in the area, to the point that people drive from an hour away to see him (on a dangerous, windy mountain road). The actual appointment isn’t until the end of the month.
So, why do I feel so nervous? Is that normal? Am I misinterpreting excitement for nervousness? Or does it mean that I should wait until these feelings go away? Will they go away?
I’d love to hear from those of you who’ve gone through this…your advice is much appreciated!!!
That is completely normal. I have 14 tattoos and every time I go into a tattoo shop, I get butterflies. It isn’t so much being scared or having feelings of regret, but more excitement and a little nervousness. I’m sure that once you get your tattoo, you will be very happy you did it!
