i want a patriotic tattoo and/or a religious cross tattoo for my first tattoo.I want to put it on my left shoulder. The meaning behind it is to honor my brother who is in the army and all the veterans who fought for the US. But i found one with a cross into it too. so what do u guys think.
Also are local tattoo parlor shops that good and reliable in terms of how good the artist are. I am not worried about the pain cause i know its gonna be there but what i am worried about is that the tattoo artist i get will fK up my tattoo and ill hate it. I was thinking about just driving down to MIAMI INK and getting it there lol.

That design is fine. If you want to personalize it, pick a cross that is different or change it up somehow.
Actually, I would advise you to take this image to your artist, and tell them that you want that theme, but you’d like them to draw up your own custom design. That way, you get everything you want, and not just have an image that others have.
The way to check out tattoo parlors and artists is to visit different ones and check their portfolios for line work and shading. Also, to find out if you have a rapport with the artist.

Take any and all images that have anything in them that appeal to you, to your artist and see what he/she comes up with.
Remember to hold still, breathe, don’t forget to tip, and do excellent aftercare.
