Tattoo Artist Question ?
I am pretty good at drawing, not meaning to sound big headed, i only discovered i could draw about 3 years ago (im 16) when i started copying pictures from the internet when i was bored. I have now got really good at copying stuff but i dont have the best imagination so find it dificult to imagine something and put it onto paper. I absolutely love tattoos and already have a lot of designs i want tattooed on me and sky+ every episode of miami ink, LA ink + london ink..im just fascinated. I wanna know how you get into tattooing and do u need a good imagination or would places hire people for different things…and how can i practice more?? :) Please help :) <3 xx
Look around you. There is stuff everywhere, in the room you’re in, right? Draw it. And anything else that you like to draw. Don’t limit yourself to things that are ‘tattooable’. Draw, paint, sculpt, whatever. All of it will hone your skills as an artist. Which is what a tattooist is, an artist. Anyone can be taught to engrave skin. It takes talent and drive and ability to do it right. Take care.
