L.a. Ink: Pixie’s Pets
Devoted fans of the TLC reality television series L.A. Ink, a spin-off of the network’s earlier progenitor show Miami Ink, are familiar with cast member and shop manager Amber “Pixie” Acia. As the manager of the High Voltage Tattoo parlor located in Los Angeles and owned by Miami Ink veteran Kat Von D, she’s in charge of making sure that things operate smoothly and that her fellow workers Corey, Hannah and Kim are able to do their jobs as tattoo artists smoothly. But aside from managing the body art hub, her other interests and ambitions include the care of her beloved animal companions, and Acia plans to start her own group which is likewise devoted to showering love and care on pets.
The reality series regular candidly spoke in an interview with website celebritydogwatcher.com regarding her interests and dreams for furry friends, such as an animal rescue team. Acia also indicated that in an episode of L.A. Ink, she would expound further on her love for her dogs. She specifically explained that one of her driving passions was to eventually help operate and run a rescue group for homeless and abandoned pit bulls. Acia is already a fan of the groups Villa Lobos Pit Bull Rescue and Karma Rescue, which both assist animals.
The tattoo shop manager said that she would make an appearance at Villa Lobos in an episode of L.A. Ink, in order to help them gain more exposure and garner support for their cause. With their cooperation, she helps for more orphaned dogs to be able to find a family of their own. Acia already owns two pit bulls named Chopper and Cupcake, together with a pet cat named Monkey. She already went through the loss of a dog earlier, though the tragedy has not dulled her love for her animal friends.
