Tribal heart or something similar to show love for wife…suggestions?
I’m looking for advice and suggestions about a tattoo design of something with a heart where I could my wife and my name in it. Any suggestions on where to put it? Found http://www.tattoonow.com/images/catalog/products/S2S8D1LG.jpg but I’m not sure as that seems fairly big…anyways just looking for suggestions.
My suggestion for where to put it – the trash. Did you notice where it says “tribal flash”? That’s bad news for two reasons. One, tribal. Two, flash. Unless you’re really from a tribal culture with deep ties to a certain form of body art, you’re just going to be “that guy with the tribal tattoo”. It’s kind of like “that guy with the bad toupee” but worse. The tribal ink fad has come and thankfully, mostly gone, but there’s going to be people stuck with a piece of late 90s fad forever. Do you really want to be one of them? Second, this is flash. “Flash” just means that it’s a copyrighted design that’s widely distributed. The fact that it’s widely distributed means lots of other people have the exact same thing. So then you’d be “that guy with the same tribal tattoo that other guy has.” Please, please, don’t be that guy. Instead, talk to people in your area with good tattoos, find out where they got them done and go chat with an artist. He or she can help you come up with a custom design (please not a “tribal” one.) that conveys what you want it to, and has unique significance for you.
