OK I had a friend ask me to design a tattoo for him. He wanted me to draw the Superman logo with flames firing out from the sides. I made it but he wanted me to tell him how much I should sell it for. I never really sold any of my tattoo designs before. Help would be much appreciated.

I know of people who have sold their designs for $50 – $100, depending on size and design etc.
I guess it boils down to the buyer as to what they are willing to pay. After all, they have to pay for the work to be done by the tattoo artist as well!
JUST REMEMBERED…if you go to http://www.tattoojohnny.com you can get an idea on how much they charge to download their designs. I bought a few designs from their site, but cant remember what I paid for them now.

wtf – sell your design? I doubt you will have any buyers, espically for a design in which you use a ripped off (superman) logo (i.e. your design is NOT original). Any artist in a shop would be able to draw that up in 10 mins anyway. A sidenote, I saw a guy yesterday with a tattoo very similar to what you’re describing, and it looked totally lame. Superman tattoos are a fad that came and went, and never were really cool in the first place, the flames just make it, well, more flaming if you know what I mean. "Tattoo design" is not really a marketable skill when you’re not a tattoo artist youself.
