Army Tattoo Removal

My husband getting our engagement tattoo removed so he can join the army. (Don’t worry, he’s getting it redone later somewhere else) He said it didn’t hurt too bad, and even afterward it never hurt more than your average tattoo does when it heals. He’s going back for the next session in two weeks! PS: Before I hear shit about “you didn’t need to get it removed, the army is so desperate they take anyone so tattoos wouldn’t matter” or “well my [insert relation here] got into the army with tattoos all over their [insert body part here]” I will let you know that we tried to get a waiver for the tattoo and it failed because its above the jawline, and therefore a head tattoo, which is forbidden in the army.

you can have a tattoo in the army, just not above the neckline or beyond your wrists onto you hands (uniform regulations) and if you are getting one get it before you sighn and swear in because it’s a pain to get the paperwork through gor a new tattoo while in service…

I have a mate who have a ring tattooed and they didn`t deny him entry because he wore a ring over it.
well maybe Because it`s in Britain

  3. RealDefentertainment says:

Oh No Some people have full sleeves and Are in the army
There is a S.Sgt with full right sleeve(almost) and flames on the left army.
I have full leg sleeves which don`t matter but the one on the back i think they didn`t mind because It gets covered by a collar.

I`m in the British Military so I don`t know your countrie`s tattoo policy

  4. RealDefentertainment says:

You are right. There mainly focus on hands/face/upper neck/head only

below knee cap? i mean do you wear shorts on parade?

what do you mean they don`t do it and I am telling you that a mate of mine who is also a S.Sgt at my camp(Blandford) have those tattoos?
I was not denied even though i have tattoos also?
Did you at least consider that the tattoos are not rude/insulting or anything of that nature?

Oh today I was working out with a new officer and he have a half sleeve of a dragon and a koi fish. How did he get in?

the marines are more strict… i was talking to a recruiter and got denied for my tattoos on my forearm… but i still got to join the army

  9. RealDefentertainment says:

if you had said that then maybe.

Your getting the tattoo on the same spot after its been removed is that OK? it seems like your skin would be ultra sensitive or something

  11. rmhanzel says:

Ok so I’m thinking of joining the Army, can somone who is serving or has served truthfully tell me the ups and downs? Hows training, hows active duty, etc… I’ve talked to recruiters and of course they make it seem like the best decision you’ll ever make. And I have a forearm tatto, hence why I’m watching this.
